  1. I would love to win the Nesco Food Dehydrator ! I am learning to live naturally & eating clean foods, this dehydrator would really help. I would use it to dehydrate strawberries, pineapple, make banana chips, fruit roll-ups, and lots of other fruits & vegetables.

  2. I have been intrigued by the idea of dehydration as a form of preservation for the last couple of years, but I still don’t have a decent dehydrator. This would help me get started! I would probably start with dehydrated fruit…maybe bananas or pineapple.

  3. I would make tons of things – jerky, fruit leather, fruit chips, dried spices, etc. I’ve wanted a dehydrator for awhile. Thanks for the giveaway!

  4. I would dry all kinds of fruits. Apple, lemon, orange, and grapefruit slices to use in potpourri and craft projects would be fun.

  5. First I would do some fruit leather because that reminds me of my childhood. Second I would dry fruit then meat as I live with carnivores!! 🙂

  6. I am trying to be mostly raw but I still eat cooked food in the evening 3-4 times a week. I am vastly healthier than when I started but I’d like to go raw by the first of the year! I home school my son and we live on a fixed income so I cannot afford a dehydrator unless I win it!

  7. My dehydrator would be put to multiple uses.Preserving fruits and vegtable snacks, make jerky (excellent protein) and great when you are on the run for a quick meal, dry herbs for an all year around supply ,dry flowers for potpourrie and of Memberable significance. There are so many uses. It would be an awesome,well-used, Christmas Gift under my tree! 🙂

  8. Just listened for 8 or 9 days of The Gluten Summit…little mention of soaking and drying grain. Lots of good info, but still want to try the old fashioned way. Although, now I am determined for more variety–even more than ever…so I’ll be drying with the dehydrator.

  9. My little one is very sensitive to sugar so ive decided to get a dehydrator to make our own fruit n vege snacks as well as jerky for us and our pets…the healthy way***

  10. I would use this for fruits (rolls, chips, mixes), jerky, soup mixes..lil of everything…..for gifts and family…..yum!

  11. would make fruit rollups from fig tree in yard……was not quite sure what to do with the figs, so have been feeding them to the hens…….they love them

  12. if i won this dehydrator i’d use it to dehydrate soakedd nuts and to make delicious healthy snacks on a budget for my three beautiful children. I love learning new and affordable ways to feed my family the healthy goodness they need

  13. to preserve fruits & veggies from my garden and make jerky treats for my dogs. FYI, fruit leather/fruit rollups are horrible for kids to eat. Between the acid of the fruit, sugar of the fruit and stickiness it just sits on the teeth and rots them. Think twice.

  14. I want to make jerky, and use it to make dried veggies for homemade sauce mixes, and experiment with all the great ways to use this – I’ve never had one and always wanted to try one! Thanks

  15. I would use mine to make dried fruits and veggies, but mainly I would use it to make meals to go camping and hiking with..

  16. My health has been declining and my fiancé and I are always trying to find new healthy ways to prepare our meals. I would very much love this as a tool we could use at our new place, the more I learn about cooking the healthier we both are. I could find a million uses for it other than jerky, we visit the farmers market every weekend and stock up on fresh fruits and vegetables, I would love a new way to try our favorite fruits.

  17. One of the things that would be fun to use this for is for making treats for the Nanday Conure. The other would be to dry peppers and herbs.

  18. If I were to win this amazing good dehydrator I would use it in the fall when we are doing all if our canning. We can lots if things but a dehydrator would be a great addition to preserving the food that we grow.

  19. The items that we could do is endless. Some of the things I would use it for is to make fresh fruit roll ups for my children out of the fruits that we grow, dehydrate fruits and veggies for snacks, dry herbs for cooking, as well as dehydrate meat that my husband hunts. We are all about using as much natural items and fewer processed items. This would help us in doing just that for our children

  20. I have a small living space and tiny fridge at the moment, so it would be awesome to see how I can make better use of my shopping trips with a dehydrator. 🙂 Thanks for this opportunity!

  21. Everything we grow – fruits, veggies and of course the deer that we will receive from the hunt club will make wonderful jerky!

  22. Would use this primarily for deer jerky, but would also like to try fruits and veggies. I had one previously, but it was stolen after we were hit by a tornado, and with my husband’s company ceasing operations, we can’t get another in the near future.

  23. Well, my son would say “DEER JERKY!!!!!!’ I would like to dehydrate produce that I catch on sale. Thanks for the offering!

  24. I dehydrate a lot of fruits, vegetables and make jerky. I would probably give this to a dear friend since I have a dehydrator.

  25. We would use it for making jerky out of all the delicious hamburger we made from the beautiful muleys that my husband and I harvested this year! And to dehydrate fruits and veggies for our kids, too!!

  26. I would use the dehydrator for drying some of my garden goodies and making jerky as my husband and I love to camp and hike this would make it easier to package our own dry goods instead of buying them for our outings and also to help put things up for winter after the gardens have all but died out for the season.

  27. Ive been wanting to invest in a dehydrator for a long while now. The price has kept me from taking the dive.

  28. Oh man, what I wouldn’t use it for! Healthy fruit snacks for me and my daughter. Yummy SAFE from recall jerky treats for the pup. Dried flowers for making soaps. Man oh man, I’d do anything.

  29. I grow a lot of varieties of peppers, and tomatoes in my garden, I would love to be able to dry them. Celery would be nice to dry also- I never use up a whole bunch of it.

  30. I want to dry fruit and vegetables, meat for jerky, and my herbs out of my garden. They are great for a healthy diet, gifts for family and keeping it simple. Some water or stock, a bag of dehydrated veggies and voila ~ a meal! 🙂

  31. I would really love to win this. I would use it for just about everything. Fruits, veggies, herbs and whatever else I can find. I love to give my granddaughter healthy snacks and to eat them myself and buying dried ones in the store are so expensive. I don’t usually win things and hope my luck changes with this!

  32. I could dry my herbs!! Make fruit roll-ups and dried fruit for the Grandboys. Jerky for my teens & also jerky for my dogs!
    Fantastic give-a-way! Thanks!

  33. I would love to have a dehydrator! I think pineapple would be what I would do the most! My son would want beef jerky and I would feel better about fixing for him instated of buying with all the extra chemical!

  34. I would love to be able to dry the herbs and some of the veggies that I grow on my apartment patio garden. 🙂 I’ve also been wanting to make beef jerky for a long while, but can’t bring myself to having the electric oven on for that long! What a great give-a-way!

  35. I want to make more fruit roll ups etc. I make jerky for the dogs myself from heart, chicken and such, mine is sooooo old 30 years one speed and temp!

  36. Since I already have 2 dehydrators, I would give this one to my daughter and son-in-law and introduce them to the beauty of dehydrating.

  37. Fruit roll ups, dehydrated fruits and veggies, jerky, dehydrated eggs oh there is sooo much to do with this wonderful piece of equipment =)

  38. I will make jerky, dried fruit, and my own seasonings. I have a friend that makes crackers in hers and they are wonderful. Would like to try making some veg chips to use with my home canned salsa, and also would like to try making some dehydrated meals in jars. Oh the possibilities.. Would love to win this..

  39. I want to learn how to make all kinds of new and wonderful raw and dried foods. So many new foods to make to improve my health.

  40. I would be so grateful to win this because my mother and I love to make homemade beef jerky, we try different recipes and even make up some good ones on the spot. Ours broke just recently so this would be awesome to win!

  41. I have the opportunity to buy large amounts of produce, but don’t currently have a way to deal with it, this dehydrator would definitely come in handy in keeping my girls well supplied with nutricious yummies!

  42. This would be great for making natural and healthy snacks for my family out of real food that we grow ourselves. 🙂

  43. If I was lucky enough to win this dehydrator I would dehydrate my homegrown Jackfruit, mango, pineapple, banana and dragonfruit slices to mix into homemade energy bars. And make delicious jerky too!

  45. My kids really want me to make jerky (although they’re having fantasies of jerky fights with a jerky gun of their own). I’d also like to make fruit rolls.

  46. I buy organic food and would dry fruits and veggies for use during the Winter. It’s SO expensive to by good food out of season, and this would be my attempt to keep costs down.

  47. Never felt the need of a dehydrator before, but with the way big companies are wantonly killing our kids and animals with tainted “treats” I’d just as soon make my own and be sure what I’m feeding is not just a good treat it’s a safe, good for you treat! Also, my next year garden is going to yield enough food that it will need to be dried as well as canned and frozen. Waste not, want not!

  48. My kids LOVE beef jerky, but it’s so expensive! It would be great to be able to make it for them and save money at the same time!

  49. I have been considering purchasing a dehydrator for a while. I would love to make fruit leather, venison jerky and also dry fruits and veggies!!

  50. This would be much much better than trying to use my oven to dry fruits and veggies. I can keep the heat outside in the summer and it would save on electric. I looks lightweight so I could take it on summer vacation with me and enjoy and dehydrate the produce to bring home with me.

  51. I would dry vegies and fruits and try to make herb crackers too. It would be better than using my oven for controlling the temp which will keep much more of the nutrient value in the foods. Id also like to dry meats and fruity snacks for my grandbaby twins. I would love to have this machine!

  52. I would use it for fruits of all kinds. I am allergic to all raw fruit
so dehydrating it (aka heating it a tiny bit) helps me be able to eat it.

  53. Oh my, what WOULDN’T I use this for?!
This thing would stretch my food budget immensely….all those fruits and vegetables that wouldn’t go to waste 😀

  55. Love this dehydrator! Lightning took mine out a couple of years ago and have tried several that were available locally that didn’t have temperature adjustment and just didn’t do the job. Would love to win another one so I could again dry cantaloupe, Rome apples, eggplant chips and okra, green and yellow squash chips, sooooo good for snacking.

  56. How amazing it would be to a dehydrator! So many ways to use it. Less waste and more ways to save money and add to my pantry.

  57. I would like to try fruit leather and dried fruit snacks. 🙂
Also, I have this recipe for raw pizza somewhere, and a dehydrator is needed for that.

  58. I love to soak my own seeds and nuts and the dehydrate them. This will come in so handy! Also, I can make super healthy flax crackers with a dehydrator. I’ve never made jerky before but I would definitely give it a go if I had this! Rose

  59. Sweet lovin I need this!! I’d dry anything from the garden, the grocery… even some old people I know need to be dried.

  60. There are so many things I want to make…I would love to make jerky, dry my own herbs, and dehydrate fruits and veggies to use in recipes and for snacks.

  62. The first thing I would dry would be bananas, then more fruits, then herbs, then jerky! I’d be such a happy camper! 🙂

  63. I’d use it for dehydrating fruits and herbs and for making fruit leathers. I’ve also made jerky before.. Turkey jerky would be great!

  65. I would use the dehydrator for family fruits and veggies. I preserved food years ago, but I got out of the swing. Thanks for the chance to win.

  66. I was looking at this very dehydrator a few weeks ago. I want to start dehydrating herbs and vegetables, and making dried fruit and fruit leathers for snacks that will be healthier than what’s available at the store. Yum! A student budget doesn’t have room for this right now, unfortunately.

  67. I would use it to preserve fruits, veggies and more. Also perfect to use to prevent food spoilage…dry before they ho bad.
