Zim’s Natural Review

Being a stay at home mom is strenuous work. I am constantly lifting, bending, crouching, and sitting with small children on my lap.

Unfortunately, it can lead to a lot of muscle aches and pains. So it’s important that I keep something on hand to give me quick relief. I also like having things that can relax my achy muscles at the end of the day.

Zim’s Maximum Heat and Zim’s Max Freeze promised to bring quick relief for tired and sore muscles, so I was absolutely willing to review these two products

During the summer months, my elbows and the heals of my feat also get dry and cracked, which is why I was excited to try Zim’s Crack Creme, an herbal healing cream for dry, cracked skin.

My Experience with Zim’s Natural

Zim’s Natural is a company from small-town Ohio that started with a pharmacist who wanted to make an effective and natural healing skin cream. They say they are dedicated to making quality natural products that perform as promised.

From my experience with the company so far, I believe they are looking to create products that can stand up to similar products on the market, but with more natural ingredients.

The company sent me a total of 4 of their products to review:

  • Zim’s Crack Creme Original Formula
  • Zim’s Crack Creme Creamy Daytime Formula
  • Zim’s Maximum Heat Roll-on
  • Zim’s Max Freeze

I enjoyed all of Zim’s products. They were all very effective, and I will gives details below as to my experience with each product individually. But, first I’d like to give you some information as to the safety of Zim’s products are.

One of my favorite websites to check on the safety and environmental impact of certain products is GoodGuide.com, which rates products based on a number of factors including the environmental rating as well as the health and safety of their ingredients.

At Good Guide, most of Zim’s products are of “medium health concern” which means they have some ingredients that are of a moderate health hazard, but that they are generally considered safe. Unfortunately the website has not rated Zim’s environmental or social practices yet.

I decided to do just a bit more looking into the main “problem ingredients”. The main ingredients that post a problem are triethanolamine and propylene glycol. The main problems with these two ingredients is that they can be allergens and could effect the immune system.

I know that people may disagree with me, but I am satisfied with Zim’s products at their safety level. To me, they are far better than some other muscle ache and dry skin products on the market.

I would be comfortable purchasing Zim’s Maximum Heat and Zim’s Max Freeze gel again, as I have not found a similar product on the market that is more natural. I also would not plan on using either of these products on a daily or long-term basis.

Having presented you with the information, I will leave you to be the judge as to whether the ingredients are safe enough for use on yourself or not.

Zim’s Crack Creme

Zim’s Crack Creme contains the herb arnica to relief any pain associated with dry, cracked skin. It also contains aloe vera which is a plant that has been used traditionally to heal the skin.

Zim’s Crack Creme Daytime Formula provided instant relief for my dry, cracked elbows. I loved the mild herbal smell of this cream, and it provided quick relief. I only needed to apply it for a couple of days before I started to see a major difference in how soft my elbows were.

The same is true of my feet when I used the Zim’s Crack Creme Original Formula. They had developed callouses from wearing tennis shoes all winter. I just applied the cream before bed each night and covered my feet with socks. The result was soft heals that I could be proud of when wearing my flip flops this summer.

Zim’s Maximum Heat Roll-On and Zim’s Max Freeze Gel

These are the products that I was most excited about in the Zim’s Natural product line. My husband and I both like having something on hand for achy muscles and I wanted something with more natural ingredients that what could be typically found in the store.

The Zim’s Maximum Heat Roll-On gives a fast-acting warm and tingly feeling on the applied area, while the Max Freeze Gel gives a cool feeling. Both of them stimulate nerve endings, which can dull pain by changing the messages that your nerves are sending to your brain.

The Roll-On is great for quickly applying the gel if you don’t want to get it all over your hands.

Overall, I’ve loved my experience with Zim’s Natural and would definitely buy from them in the future.
