Stress can take a big toll on your body, make you look haggard, and make you look older than you are. Not exactly a good look.
Luckily, there are ways to get rid of your stress, without having to empty a bottle of red. So keep reading stressed out sisters and I’ll show you how to make stress a feeling of the past.

Inhale, Girlfriend, Inhale
It probably sounds so simple but it’s shocking how many of us amp up our natural breathing pattern when we start to feel stressed.
This is important to take notice of because not only is it unhealthy for your heart, but it also prevents your body from properly ridding itself of the toxins it needs to in order to ensure your general health.
Basically, our bodies naturally get rid of 70% of our toxins through regular, ordinary breathing. So that means when you are taking short, shallow breaths, you aren’t giving your body the proper chance to stay naturally healthy.
An effective natural solution for calming down, besides deep breathing for 3-5 minutes at a time, is to add aromatherapy oils to your day.
There are actually specific scents that can help trigger stress relieving reactions in your brain, helping to naturally relax and de-stress.
Add a few drops of either lavender, rose, or even jasmine to a bath, or simply light them and fill your home with the stress relieving smell. These specific oils help you beat stress, deal with feelings of depression, and ultimately help you calm down any anxiety.
Work It Baby, Work It
Now while I completely understand that working out is probably the very last thing you want to do when you are stressed, it is actually one of the best things you could do.
Regular physical activity, even if it is low impact, is a significant factor in helping to lower stress levels.
When you incorporate daily physical activity into your life you are causing your heart and blood to pump faster, which then causes your brain to secrete natural feel-good chemicals that help you to feel happier and fight stress better.
Simply incorporate 30 minutes of activity into your daily routine and you will not only start to feel better but you will also start to look better. Bonus!
Call In Reinforcements
While hitting the town with your friends is probably not one of your priorities when you are stressing out, you should make it one.
You may feel irresponsible doing it, especially if you are stressed about deadlines, but getting out of your home for a couple hours and connecting with the people who make you the happiest can help you lower your stress levels.
When we laugh and connect with those we love we help to release mood enhancing endorphins that almost immediately help us feel better.
So make a date with your favourite people and laugh your stress away.
Simply put, we all have our own problems and stress but if you put these 3 steps to use, you will help to rid yourself of stress, ease the burden on your body, and ultimately live a happier and healthier lifestyle.
